1 . She stopped playing with her friend and was so tired all the time .

1.Why she stopped playing with her friend and was so tired all time ?

To identify  role of co-factors and vitamins in metabolism
Based on the symptom , she was clearly having kwashiorkor which is a form of malnutrition . The  symptoms like change in skin ,extremely ,thin and fatigue . The other symptom is tiredness and lack of focus in studies . This is because lack of vitamin B as it helps for improving energy, focus and alertness .
Next , the presence or absence of cofactors may determine how quickly reactions proceed from their reactant to their product. A cofactor is a non-protein chemical that assists with a biological chemical reaction. Co-factors may be metal ions, organic compounds, or other chemicals that have helpful properties not usually found in amino acids. Some cofactors can be made inside the body, such as ATP, while others must be consumed in food .Types of cofactor is vitamin ,mineral and organic non vitamin

2. . Her abdomen started to swell her arms and legs got very thin and I could see her ribs poking through her chest. Then, her hair started to go a yellow reddish color and chunks of it started to fall out.
1.Why she got that symptom ?
2.What happen if that symptom still continue ?
3.What type of food she take until got that symptom ?
1.How to prevent that symptom ?
To identify the food that rich in vitamin and prevent symptom malnutrition

First symptom is change in color to brown or red (rust color) which easy to pluck. This is because lack cofactor copper which the level of copper in the serum greatly reduced and it has been suggested that changes in the color & texture of hair, which are characteristics of the disease, might be associated with an altered copper content. Furthermore , it also because deficiency of cofactor vitamin B7, or the other name is Biotin/B-7, vitamin H or coenzyme R which lead to brittle hair & hair loss . Next , symptom is swell arm and legs. This is because swelling of the abdomen and legs are commonly cause by edema. Edema is happen when low protein level in the blood. In our blood protein, albumin is one of important things that has vitamin D-binding protein needs to bind with vitamin D and it metabolites, as well as to fatty acide. Next , the thing will happen if that symptom still continue is development of diseases & chronic health conditions. Long-term malnutrition: heart diseases, stunted growth & eye problems
Type of food and prevent the symptom :
·       Vitamin A – Fish & carrot: crucial role in vision
·       Vitamin E – Avocado, spinach & almond: lower risk of coronary heart diseases
·       Vitamin D – Fatty fish, egg yolks & cheese: Lack will cause poor bone growth

3 . His grades started to drop and I got reports from the teacher that he was falling asleep in class

1. It is adult and child got the same symptom ?

To identify  role of co-factors and vitamins in metabolism
No . Kwashiorkor as mentioned earlier are the most commonly found on children or older adults . In this case, the brother doesn’t seem to have symptoms as his sister had . He just having tiredness and lack of focus in studies .
By taking vitamin B, it will  helps him to improving energy , focus and alertness
4 . The health worker measured Kanyange arm

1. What the other method for measuring the malnutrition ?

To identify the other method to measure the malnutrition
The other method :
Firstly ,  arthropometric indicators are more sensitive over the full spectrum of malnutrition than other indicators , though they lack specificity from changes in body measurement that may be the result of other biological or environmental factors . The example is BMI for age is widely used to measure malnutrition among school aged children both in internationally . The standard calculation is dividing a person’s weight in kilograms by their height in meter squared . Almost all country specific and international growth refer to BMI. Next, note percentage of unplanned weight loss. Third identify mental or physical health conditions. Lastly, add all the scores obtain = overall risk of having malnutrition .

5 . The health worker  showed me a tape with three colors red, yellow and green.

1. What the meaning of red ,yellow and green tape ?
2. What step should be taken after got the result ?
To identify malnutrition
The name is mid upper arm circumference (MUAC) tape is the circumference of the left upper arm, measured at the midpoint between the tip of the shoulder at the tip of the elbow. This tape have  two types which is 3 and 4 color (but this trigger used 3 color) . The meaning  of the each color which are green is properly nourished, yellow is risk of malnutrition , red is acutely malnourished
6. Kanyange  would need to get special food from the clinic.
1. What the difference between special food and food provided at home ?
2. What kind of special food ?
3. Can normal person take only special foo as daily intake ? Why ?

To evaluate important of balance diet

The food provided at home Kanyange mostly carbohydrate which are cassava , banana and sweet potato . Otherwise, the special food that clinic suggest is based on pyramid food .  Mostly the pyramid food need to balance carbohydrates and fruit and vegetables . That kind of food rich with vitamin C and vitamin B The importance of  vitamin C in vegetable and fruit is necessary for the growth ,development and repair of all body tissues . Next , vitamin C involved in many body functions which are wound healing, absorption of iron , the immune system and maintenance of cartilage bones and teeth . The example of fruit and vegetables rich in vitamin C is citrus fruits , tomatoes , broccoli , green peppers and grapes  . Furthermore , importance of vitamin B is make sure the body’s cells are functioning properly , helps body convert food into energy , create new blood cells and maintain healthy skin cells ,brain cells and body tissues . The example of food are mussels , nuts , acorn squash and whole grains . The symptoms of thiamin deficiency are weight loss, little or no appetite and loss of muscle mass.
7. I will also keep breastfeeding Kanyange until she is two years old
1. Why her mother need to keep breastfeeding Kanyange until she is two years old ?
To discuss the benefit of breastfeeding
·       Protects against allergies and eczema.
·       Causes less stomach upset, diarrhea, and constipation than formula.
·       Reduces the risk of viruses, urinary tract infections, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroenteritis, ear infections, and respiratory infections
·       Makes vaccines more effective.
·       Protects against diseases such as spinal meningitis, type 1 diabetes, and Hodgkin's lymphoma.
·       High iQ
·       Could help prevent obesity
